South Yorkshire firm, AESSEAL have donated £400,000 to the Laptops for Kids campaign. This will be used to purchase dongles to help pupils get connected as well as to supply laptops to 1,500 households in Rotherham.
Rotherham is the latest area to launch the campaign to help tackle the digital divide and will be joining Lancaster, Barnsley, Doncaster and the North East, who are all running schemes in partnership with Laptops for Kids.
Can your business or organisation help by providing a drop-off point for laptop donations in South Yorkshire or further afield? Please get in touch if so and we can provide further details.
We are talking to major employers, laptop manufacturers and mobile network operators in our campaign to close the digital divide in Doncaster.
Donors include DLA Piper, the UK's largest law firm, Benchmark Consult, a leading tech recruiter, and local charities.
Please do join us and help in any way you can. To pledge your support, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
